Product Description:

Our new A7 sized die is called the “A7 Library Window Pop Up Card” Metal Craft Die, which creates an awesome interactive and fun A7 sized pop up card with incredible dimension, while allowing the card to be folded flat and mailed in an A7 standard sized envelope. We recommend mailing all interactive cards in a protective bubble mailer or to identify the letter is “fragile/handle with care”, so that the card is not pushed through a USPS standard meter device. The die can also create a very pretty centerpiece on any A7 sized flat card. Using the A7 Library Window pop up card die set is super easy. Just die cut all of the pieces you would like to use and assemble your pop up box with the included mechanism. We strongly recommend watching one of our assembly tutorials and/or one of our previously recorded “Library Window” Lives on the Scrappy Tails Crafts YouTube channel. Your die includes a main window nestled into a brick wall, which will be at the back of your card, a wraparound brick wall and two narrow bookshelves. We also include an additional fun mechanism that allows you to pull apart the two front (narrow) bookshelves in order to create an even bigger library scene, that can be easily collapsed and closed for mailing. There are little sprigs for the windows and the window has its own layering piece to allow you to create open windows (with acetate and/or vellum). The die is designed to cut two pretty library style open book cases. It is beautifully filled with anything you would expect to find on a bookcase, including stacks of books, vertical rows of books, books that are angled in, a little clock, a little potted plant, library lights/ hanging lamps, etc…. The cool thing about this die is that it is a layering die and that all the little details can be highlighted by adding more colors and dimension. This very generously sized die is designed to coordinate very well with our other scene builder dies in this collection, which is the “Classic Bookshelf” and the “ Library Sofa and Chair” die set and the “Plant Ladder” die set. There are so many ways to expand on your little study/ library room with all these super detailed furniture pieces. This would be such an awesome card for book lovers, teachers, people working remotely out of their own study, a special colleague or someone who just graduated, became a doctor or who is going into Retirement and will have a lot more free time to settle into a cozy reading room and relax with a good book. Of course the set can be paper pieced and paper layered for beautiful dimension using all your favorite colors of papers, card stocks and of course specialty glitter and foiled papers and designer pattern papers.

This set is designed to work best when used in conjunction with any of our “Life is a Story 2024” stamps, metal dies and pattern papers. Please check out our complete “Life is a story 2024” collection and mix and match your favorite pieces.

Directions for metal craft die use:

  1. Gently remove the metal craft die from it’s packaging
  2. Using your favorite die-cutting machine, lay a piece of strong card-stock facing the sharp edges of the die and run the required “plate sandwich” through your machine (please note that different machines use different die-cutting sandwiches)
  3. These dies are thin steel dies and they work in most available manual and automatic die cutting machines, such as your Vagabond, Cuttlebug, Gemini, Gemini junior, Spellbinder’s Platinum, Big Kick, Big Shot etc.
  4. Dies work on different thin materials, including paper, cardstock, specialty foiled or glitter papers
