Winter Mushroom Card

Winter Mushroom Card

Hello crafters!  Joy here, sharing a card inspired by winter's first snow fall, you know the one...  with huge, fluffy snowflakes while it's still warm enough for Autumn's foliage to peek through?! I just love the contrast of the colors on the fluffy blanket of snow.  I hope I have captured that essence today!
To create this card, I started by trimming a white panel to 3x6" inches. Then, I blended  distress oxide inks through the Starry Night Stencil and then masked off the moon with a die cut circle. Next, I blended three blue distress oxide inks over the mask to create my sky. I splattered some white paint to create snowfall. Once happy with the blend, I set it aside to dry thoroughly, and started on the mushrooms.
I stamped the large mushroom image from the Fairy Friends 6x8 stamp set onto smooth white card stock and colored it in with my Copics. I didn't want a white edge around my image, so I opted to fussy cut it out myself.
I die cut two hill sides using the Slimline Everyday Borders die set and inked the top layer of each snow hill slightly to add depth.
Next, I stamped and embossed the sentiments from the Fairy Sentiments/Die Bundle in black and white. Finally I assembled the card and added a black mat and gemstones to finish it off.
I hope that you have enjoyed this card and will give it a try! For more inspiration please join us on the Scrappy Tails Crafts Facebook page! You will find stunning projects on the Scrappy Tails blogYoutube, and on Instagram!
