Heat Embossed Rainbow Butterfly Card
Hello crafty friends and welcome to my blog post!
It's time to showcase the new amazing Scrappy Tails Crafts release called Heartfelt Wings! I love this collection, it's so super springy and just gorgeous!!
I started cutting a 5.5"x4.25" panel from watercolor paper. On it, I white heat embossed the beautiful large butterfly from the "Heartfelt Wings" stamp set in the top left corner.
I colored the inside of the butterfly with Distress watercolor pencils and water. I used Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, Salty Ocean, Villainous Potion and Seedless Preserves. I didn't worry to paint inside the lines, if you look closely, there's a halo of color around the butterfly. I did this on purpose to give it that loose watercolor look!
I darkened edges of my panel with Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink. I also splattered the panel with clean water, some tone on tone inks and white and gold acrylic paints.
All that was left to do was stamp a sentiment from the same "Heartfelt Wings" stamp set in black ink.
