Garden A7 Shadow Box Book Card

Hi everyone, Monica here, welcome to my blog post! Today, I am here sharing a popup shadow box book card that I made using a new interactive die set from the latest Scrappy Tails Crafts release. I also pulled in the Open Butterflies die set from the March release. I had so much fun making this, and what’s cool about this book die, is that you can cut some of the pieces down to create whatever sized book you want. For my card, I left my book the standard A7 size.
I used papers from Graphic 45 to cover the entire book, including the inside. I left the front simple with just the beautiful pattern paper and a white chipboard embellishment. To dress up the inside of my book, I added the frames from the die set around my shadow box and left inside page.
I added another chipboard piece going across the front of my shadow box. Inside the box, I added a beautiful layered butterfly die cut. I cut the outline layer from gold mirror card stock and backed it with a cream butterfly shadow layer. The sentiment on the fence is from the Scrappy Tails Fairy Friends 6x8 stamp set. I backed the sentiment with pink cardstock to help it stand out.
I hope everyone enjoyed my post, thank you so much for stopping by!

The most inspiring creations I’ve seen since Tascha Tudor’s cover art & book plates in my childhood book “The Wind In the Willows” … & also reminiscent of the beautiful drawings in my copy of “The Secret Garden” .. Yes, years ago, but more awe-inspiring now. I guess I’m old-fashioned… The Butterfly 🦋 has long been my symbol… delicate lightness, renewal… The colors & patterns you’ve used have created the most lovely treasures. Thank you – for you possess so much talent!
