Blue Layered Orchid Die Cut

Hello crafters, Joy here with you today sharing a 'dramatic' card I made using the Layered Orchid die set. You may ask what makes a card or scene dramatic.  I typically think of it as adding multi dimensional layers incorporating rich vibrant colors with varying saturation levels. But I have to tell you this card came together pretty easily.  Let's take a look...

Creating this card was a breeze because the most solid die in the Layered Orchid die set embossed the lines so that you can line up the layers very easily.

I die cut two of the bases from black so that I would add extra dimension, but it isn't a necessary step. Next, I cut the secondary and tertiary layers of the flowers in three shades of teal. Finally, I cut the leaf detail and stamen from a matte silver paper.

The fun part was adhering the layers, and building the flower. You will notice that the background is embossed and a deeper blue. I applied navy ink to the teal paper, which created the dramatic backdrop for the orchid.

Last, but not least, I heat embossed the sentiment from the Sweet Bear 4x6 stamp set in white. Pretty simple right... but oh so pretty!!!
