A Butterfly Card for Mom
Hello and happy Friday!! I have a Mother’s Day card to share with you featuring some new goodies from the latest Heartfelt Wings Collection from Scrappy Tails Crafts!!
I began by stamping one of the butterflies from the Spread Your Wings 6x8 Stamp Set onto Bristol smooth card stock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. Then, I embossed the image with clear embossing powder, and colored it with Zig Clean Color Markers.
Once the butterfly was dry, I then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. The sentiments are from the same set. They were white heat embossed onto black card stock and cut out with their Coordinating Dies.
For the background, I trimmed a piece of patterned paper from the new Butterfly Kisses 6x6 Paper Pad to be slightly smaller than an A2 card. Then, I adhered it to a teal card base. The beautiful white, teal and aqua oval layers behind the butterfly come from the new Fancy Rose Oval die set.
The butterfly was adhered with liquid glue along the center only, allowing the wings to “pop-up”. The two sentiment die-cuts were adhered with foam tape. A few Festive Gems were adhered to the butterfly wings and that finished off this card design!
