Light Up Christmas House

Light Up Christmas House

Hey Y'all!!!  Merry Christmas from my home to yours!  Check out these beautiful dies from the Scrappy Tails Crafts German House Add-on. This set includes lots of beautiful dies that can be used in so many ways.
For even more fun, I added some lights by Pear Blossom Press to light up the lanterns on my house!  You can find the light up video on my Instagram feed.  This beautiful card is available in my Etsy store HERE!  All the details for making this card yourself are below (including links).

I just LOVE Christmas lights. This beautiful house has its Christmas lanterns lit! So pretty! The base of my house was created with the Scrappy Tails Slimline Pop up Bird House die set. You can definitely convert this into a pop up card if you want!

The roof, garland, wreath, lantern and Christmas tree are all from the new "German Christmas House" add-on die set. Instead of die cutting from colored card stock, I die cut from white card stock and colored the images in with copic markers.

The bricks are made with Scrappy Tails Crafts 'Slimline Brick Background' die.  I used the die to make a stencil from a piece of card stock. I colored the bricks with Distress Oxide Inks, Vintage Photo & Crackling Campfire.  What a beautiful house!

The windows are from the Scrappy Tails Crafts 'German House Add-on' die set. You can use the die as a window or as a German beam for a German style house. I love that this set can transform your birdhouses into festive American or German style Christmas houses.
The background has some gold foiled snow. I used the Scrappy Tails 'A2 Snow Hot Foil Cover Plate' to add some subtle shine into the background
The Merry Christmas sentiment I cut from gold mirror card stock is from another Scrappy Tails die set called 'Merry Christmas Ornament'
Behind the windows, I added vellum to hide my lights. The best part of this card is that I used Pear Blossom Presses 'EZ-Lights' to make lights shine through the lanterns and the peak of the house, so fun!

Thank you so much for stopping by! I'll see ya next time.

This card was fun to watch on Instagram with the lights blinking. Loved how you made it especially the lights. I can see the kids eyes light up as they wait for those blinking lights on the house. Beautiful house card. Thanks for sharing.
